Messina meets with the Sports Commission. Carbone: “We need a tender for stadiums.”

Messina president Justin Davis and his deputy Morris Pagniello participated in the meeting of the fifth Sports Commission of the Municipality, which was also attended by sports councillor Massimo Finocchiaro.

According to city councilor Dario Carbone , the municipal administration must “abandon the indolence of past years and take a proactive stance and support the actions of Messina’s new owners, especially regarding the management of the San Filippo stadium and other sports facilities, for which a specific tender would be required.” This is a path already explored, with limited success, during the previous mayoralty of Cateno De Luca.

After the ruins left by the previous sports management, I can only thank those who, despite all the difficulties, decided to invest significantly in sports in Messina. The event organized by Messina to mark the 125th anniversary of Messina’s history, which will take place on Monday, December 1st at 8:00 PM, is of fundamental importance. We are all invited to attend,” the councilor concluded.
