Messina, Davis and Pagniello meet the mayor and the leaders of the Cooperative

It was the last morning in Messina for the new president of Messina, Justin Davis , and his right-hand man, vice president Morris Pagniello , who will be leaving the city in the next few hours after a particularly busy week. The two met with Mayor Federico Basile at Palazzo Zanca for the second time in a few days . The meeting was about the event celebrating 125 years of football in the city, scheduled for December 1st.

The aim is to request the convening of the Prefectural Oversight Commission , which will jointly decide with the Police Headquarters on the increase in capacity at the Franco Scoglio Stadium, since the current 5,000 seats are clearly deemed insufficient. Anything below that threshold falls within the jurisdiction of the Municipal Commission, not the body affiliated with the Government Building.

The club is expected to distribute several free tickets in the city’s schools before going on pre-sale . A ruling from the relevant authorities is expected in the coming days. Davis and Pagniello also met with the management of the Società Cooperativa Calcio Messina , which will release a press release in the next few hours detailing the discussions and the collaboration between the club and the group of approximately 200 fans.
