Messina: New ownership nears its debut, Roseti’s unknown, and Ninni Corda’s arrival

As Messina continues its preparations for Sunday’s home match against CastrumFavara, the atmosphere at the Biancoscudata is filled with anticipation, as reported by messinasportiva.it.

The match will mark the official debut of the new ownership structure, represented by the Racing City Group and Global Capital Fzco groups (with vice president Justin Davis among the leaders), offering the Peloritan team the first concrete opportunity to begin erasing the heavy 14-point penalty imposed during the summer.

On the squad front, there is one definite absence due to suspension: defender Daniele Trasciani will be missing. The medical and technical staff are focused on the recovery of forward Christian Roseti. The player is still dealing with an injury sustained during the warm-up before the Lamezia match. Roseti trained separately and underwent specific therapy this afternoon. There is optimism that the forward will be able to return to training with the group as early as Thursday, a speedy recovery that would be crucial for the match at the “Franco Scoglio” stadium. Coach Pippo Romano and his staff are hopeful of this.

Meanwhile, the team welcomes winger Ranieri Ruffino, a 2004-born player who could provide additional options on the left flank. The team has a reduced squad of just 21 players due to operational limitations imposed by the current bankruptcy administration.

Regarding the managerial and technical structure, sporting director Giovanni Martello is working to identify reinforcements for the squad. However, the final decision on any move will rest with the new ownership. The new management, including Morris Pagniello, will be in town on Friday to meet with the current staff and the team and to publicly outline future plans.

As part of the technical reorganization, the possibility of a role for Ninni Corda is gaining increasing traction. Racing City Group is reportedly keen to involve the former Savona player. Corda boasts a long career as a coach and manager, though there have been some controversial experiences along the way. He is well known to vice president Morris Pagniello, with whom he has previously collaborated. Martello, pictured on the bench in the photo, is therefore awaiting instructions from the new management before proceeding with transfer operations.
